A Dementia Friends workshop was held at the Holy Cross Church in Seend earlier this month for church leaders and committee members.
On behalf of the Wellspring Benefice, Rev Dr Joshva Raja John, said “We are happy to inform you that a successful Dementia Friends training session was held at the Holy Cross Church Seend on 2nd of March for the church leaders and committee members.
“This was led by myself and Dr Anne for 12 people. They became Dementia Friends after the session which is part of the awareness programme of Alzheimer’s Society and part of creating a caring community through the church.
“Churches can become Dementia Friendly churches and create friendly communities to care for people with dementia.”
