COMMUNITIES of Atworth, Shaw and Whitley gathered on Saturday 30th June as Christ Church in Shaw thanked the residents for their support during the maintenance work.
Recently, Christ Church in Shaw was having refurbishment carried out on its spire – leaving the church covered in scaffolding and also St Michael’s Church in Atworth had redecorating work carried out last year.
People came together to celebrate the removal of the scaffolding with afternoon teas, put on by the Church so they could thank those for their support, contribution and patience.
Shona Hoad said, “It is lovely to see Shaw Church without the scaffolding after so many months, while the spire has been repaired.”
