Nominations are now open for the Melksham Civic Awards, celebrating and thanking residents who make Melksham shine.
Melksham’s Civic Awards welcome residents to nominate and highlight those who go above and beyond to support the Melksham community.
The award categories are: Advocate for Vulnerable People, Champion for Tackling Deprivation, Community Volunteer of the Year and Young Volunteer of the Year. The deadline to nominate volunteers is 20th February.
Melksham’s Mayor, Cllr Saffi Rabey, said, “The Melksham Civic Awards provide a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the very best of our town and the people who give so much of their time and energy to support others. I am really looking forward to seeing the nominations and learning more about the many individuals whose kindness, commitment and hard work help make Melksham such a special place to live. It will be a real pleasure to review the entries alongside my fellow judges and to join together in recognising the outstanding contribution of our community volunteers.”
Nominees will be invited to the Mayor’s Reception on Saturday 14th March, where the award winners will be officially announced.
