THE Arts Society North Wiltshire’s lectures have resumed at Melksham’s Assembly Hall!
The next lecture, titled ‘The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy: Ballet in Imperial St. Petersburg 2022’, will be held on Wednesday 1st December.
The society will meet again in the New Year on Wednesday 12th January for a lecture titled ‘Beauty in Truth: Present and Future Botanical Art and Illustration’; and then again on Wednesday 2nd February for a lecture titled ‘The Great Velazquez at Court in Madrid’.
The society says, “For the time being, whenever possible, lectures are simultaneously transmitted via Zoom. Members receive a link via email. Lectures start at 11am but members can arrive earlier to chat and have a free cup of tea or coffee (providing they bring their own mugs). New members are always welcome.
“Our Society continues to support local schools in art-based projects. If you have a project in mind and need additional funding, contact Karen Hellewell on 01225 867726.”
