THIS weekend is Melksham Community Larder’s inaugural clothes swap event at the Assembly Hall.
On Sunday 17th March from 2pm to 4pm, the event will provide a sustainable and fun solution to decluttering your closet.
“Are you tired of seeing perfectly good clothes gathering dust in your wardrobe or fancy a wardrobe refresh? Look no further! Melksham Community Larder is thrilled to announce its inaugural Clothes Swap and Shop event, where you can trade your unwanted garments for something new and exciting,” says one of the organisers, Adrienne Westbrook.
“We encourage participants to bring their nearly new clothing items for ladies, men and children.
“All we ask is that the clothes are fit to be worn and presented on hangers, no black bags of clothing will be accepted.
“To participate, simply drop off your clothing contributions at the Assembly Hall on Wednesday 13th, Thursday 14th, or Friday 15th March between 10am and 12pm, or on the day of the event starting at 10am. For every garment you donate, you’ll receive a token that can be exchanged for another item during the swap on the Sunday afternoon.
“Join us in our mission to divert clothing from landfill, thereby reducing waste and supporting environmental sustainability. Plus, by swapping clothes, you can refresh your wardrobe without spending a penny – it’s a win-win for both your closet and your wallet!
“Admission to the Melksham Clothes Swap is free for all attendees and light refreshments will be available throughout the event. Don’t miss this opportunity to give your clothes a new lease on life in a sustainable and meaningful way.
“Mark your calendars for Sunday 17th March and join us for a day of fashion, sustainability and camaraderie at the Melksham Community Larder’s Clothes Swap and Shop.”
