MELKSHAM Area Community Transport will be resuming its service this year, taking people on local shopping trips, and resuming day trips on Saturday 15th April.
Organiser John Rudderman said, “Back by popular request are our regular day trips for 2023. Due to rising fuel costs, we are sorry to have to put the price up to £25 per person per trip. We believe this still represents excellent value for money. “The trips will start on Saturday 15th April with a day out in Wells, then Lymington and New Forest, Swanage, Weymouth, Poole, Abergavenny, Broadway, Gloucester quays and city and finishing the year with our last on Saturday 16th December with a run to Glastonbury.
“We are shortly expecting delivery of a newer bus for these trips and will be retiring our old faithful which has served us well but is now at the end of its reliable use. “For full details of trips available or to book your seat please call the Tourist Information Centre (TIC). A leaflet is available at the office in Church Street, please call in to collect one.
