LOCAL area coordinator, Matthew Billingham, will be at Melksham Library two days a week to provide advice and support to individuals in the community.
Matt will be available most Tuesday and Friday mornings at Melksham Library and is always contactable by phone: 07920 503771 or email matthew.billingham@wiltshire.gov.uk.
Matt said, “I work alongside people of all ages (including disabled people and people with mental health conditions).
“Putting people in control of how they want life to be and helping people feel more connected and supported by their communities, to make their lives better. The aim is helping people on the edges of community to be more connected, not focusing on the problems or the barriers, but focusing on the possible.
“My support is free and without judgment – there are no assessments, referral processes or time limits – and I can meet you in local community settings or where you live, work, volunteer or learn.
“By inviting me to work alongside you, I will; Take time to get to know you to build a trusting relationship; Help you find relevant information, advice and support at the right time; Help you to build and fulfil your vision of a good life; Help you to identify and develop your strengths, skills, talents and abilities; Help you in building, developing and using personal and local networks; Help you to stay strong and be heard so you stay in control of your life; Help you to become more connected, resilient and more actively involved in your community.”
