THEY are already ‘crazy’ for knitting, but now a local group has started going ‘crazy’ for Christmas – in September!
Local group ‘Crazy About Knitting’, who have been meeting at Melksham Baptist Church every month for the past five years, have begun knitting Christmas-themed items to sell and raise money for the Royal United Hospital in Bath.
Members are busy working to produce items such as tree decorations, stockings, gifts and Christmas crackers.
Since the club began, membership has grown to approximately 90 people and thousands of knitted items have been produced for national and international charities.
The group meet on the first Wednesday of every month at Melksham Baptist Church at 10am. For more information about the group email crazy_about_knitting 16@yahoo.com or search for ‘Crazy About Knitting’ on Facebook.
