The Credit Union Saturday collection point which has been at Edwards Stationery in Bank Street for 12 months is moving to its more familiar setting of Melksham Library from May the 2nd.
“We always thought there may be a demand for our services on a Saturday morning as work commitments don’t always allow members to access our services during the week,” said director and volunteer Maureen McCourtney.
“We would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to Steve Edwards of Edwards Stationery for allowing us to use his facilities and raising our profile in the town.
“Come into the library and see what we are about. We are a community based organisation run by volunteers. It costs just £2 to become a member which allows you to save little and often and after a qualifying period can if necessary access a very low interest loan based on savings accumulated.
“Come in and see us; Friday 10.30am – 1pm. Saturday 10am – 11.15am.”
