THE daughter of former Broughton Gifford parish councillor, Julian Robertson, has shaved off her hair to raise money for charity in his memory.
Emma Paine took part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘Brave the Shave’ to raise money for the national charity. Emma is still counting donations and collecting sponsorship money, but says that she is hopeful of reaching her £300 target.
Emma ‘braved the shave’ on Wednesday 31st July, which would have been her father Julian’s 75th birthday.
“I’m doing this in memory of my dad,” said Emma, “who lost his battle with cancer on the 21st December 2018, after being in remission twice.”
Emma’s friend, Sarah Chappel, who is co-owner of Hair@13 in Melksham, was responsible for giving Emma her new-look hairstyle.
