MELKSHAM Carnival Committee is inviting you to join them at the Pavilion in the King George V playing field for a festive recording-breaking challenge.
Come along on Sunday 11th December at 10.30am and don’t forget to bring a Father Christmas hat to wear as the committee is hoping to set a record for ‘the most amount of people wearing a Santa’s hat at one time’.
Carnival committee press officer, Christine York said, “It should be a really fun morning and hopefully we will set a record! Andy will be taking a picture of everyone, so make sure you bring your Santa’s hat and lots of festive enthusiasm.
“It’s completely free to be involved but we will be collecting to help local girl Abbie Dark raise funds for The Little Princess Trust. Abbie was recently featured in the Melksham News for having her long hair cut to send to the charity which makes wigs for children who have lost their hair through illness. Abbie needs to send money with her hair to cover the cost of having a her hair made into a wig. It’s a brilliant charity to support.
“We hope to see lots of people there – it would be great if the whole town turned up!”
