FOREST & Sandridge School is appealing for donations of “reusable” clothes to help raise money for the school.
Organisers say, “We are trying to raise money for an outdoor learning shelter for the children. It helps them develop a love and understanding for nature and the environment. It also encourages a realisation that learning can occur anywhere – not just inside with a pen and paper.
“We accept clean, good quality, dry and reusable clothing, such as: adults’, children’s and babies’ clothing; jewellery and accessories; paired shoes and footwear; belts and handbags.
“We do not accept: poor quality items such as dirty, wet, ripped or soiled clothes; pillows, duvets, curtains, books, CDs or any uniform. If you are unsure what to put in the bags, stop and think, would you wear it?”
Donations can be dropped off in bags under the shelter by reception at the school on Saturday 10th October and Sunday 11th October, between 9am and 5pm.
