The Dorothy House Dusk Memory Walk will take place on Saturday, 23rd April.
The annual fundraising event starts and ends at the hospice in Winsley, and takes walkers on a 5km circular ramble through the Wiltshire countryside.
The walk ends at dusk with the lighting of candles and time for reflection in the beautiful grounds of Dorothy House.
The walk starts at 7pm, and is open to people of all ages, you can even bring the dog along. Dorothy House events fundraiser Emily Knight said, “The Dusk Memory Walk is becoming more popular each year. It’s a lovely, peaceful event, which anyone can take part in. It’s not a challenging route, but some of it is over fields, and there is a hill at the end so good footwear is strongly advised!
“It is a fundraising walk, and although we don’t ask for a minimum sponsorship, we do encourage everyone to raise as much as they can. Donations in lieu of sponsorship are welcome.”
Registration costs £10 for adults, £5 for children and is available online at www.dorothyhouse.org.uk/events or phone Emily Knight on 01225 721480.
