Local families enjoyed an Easter treat after Easter eggs were donated to Melksham Food Bank. The donations came via CS Bowyer Funeral Directors in Bank Street, Melksham which is a drop off point for the food bank.
“We would like to thanks the people who donated the Easter eggs for their generosity and kindness,” said Karen White from CS Bowyer. “These include members of the public, former Celebrant: Eric Gill and his wife Sandy, celebrant Cassandra Leigh Bullock and the managers of the Waitrose and Iceland Melksham branches.”
Melksham Foodbank provides practical short-term help to a person or a family in need. It is a run under the auspices of the Melksham Family of Churches by a small team of volunteers. .
Drop off points for donations in Melksham include: Asda, CS Bowyer, Co-op (Blackmore Rd), Coventry Building Society, Lidl, Poundstretcher, Sainsbury’s, Spa Rd Service Station, The Original Factory Shop, Waitrose and any church in Melksham.
