Macmillan Cancer Support is hosting its annual ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ with fundraisers around the country serving up coffee (and tea) and cake, all in aid of the charity.
In 2017, Melksham raised hundred of pounds for Macmillan and this year should be no exception, with coffee mornings being held across Melksham and surrounding villages including:
• Travis Perkins, Hercules Way, Bowerhill, Friday 28th September, 7.30am-5pm. Come along to Travis Perkins to partake in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning!
• Tops Hair Salon & Beauty, 5 High Street, Friday 28th September, from 9am. Everyone is invited for coffee and cake to raise money for this great cause.
• Specsavers, 29 Bank Street, Friday 28th September. Store director, Tom Mogford says, “If you fancy a sweet treat, then make sure you don’t miss out and pop down to the store on Friday morning to grab a cake before they go!”
• The Wishing Well, 21 Bank Street, Friday 28th September, 10am-12pm. Come along and help us raise money for such a valuable charity.
• Wharf Court, off Spa Road, Friday 28th September, 10.30am-12pm. Coffee, cake, raffle and a tombola all on offer to raise money for Macmillan. Everyone is welcome.
• Seend Community Centre, Friday 28th September, 10am-12pm. There will be coffee (of course!), cake, games, bring and buy and a raffle and the chance to catch up with the local chat. Entry by donation.
• West Country Educational Agency, 1 Canon Square, Friday 28th September, 10.30am-4pm. Pop in for a slice of cake and a cuppa.
• Melksham Baptist Church, Old Broughton Road, Saturday 29th September, 10am-2pm. Please come and support Macmillan, tea/coffee, cakes and soup will be served.
• The Vicarage, 59 Linnet Lane, SN12 7FA, Saturday 29th September, 11am-1pm. So everyone facing cancer can have a Macmillan team in their corner.
• Bowerhill Ladies Group, Bowerhill Village Hall, Saturday 6th October, from 11.30am until 1.30pm. Tea, coffee and cakes in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
