The Emporium on the High Street has been named Melksham’s Best Looking Business for Summer 2016.
The Emporium scooped the majority of nominations this time, with Buds Bar in second place and the Samovar in third.
One of the nominations for The Emporium, a second hand furniture shop, read, “I love to visit there whenever I come to Melksham and especially in the summer months when it is so vibrant with beautiful flowers. The work that has recently been done there is really wonderful and they really seem to go the extra mile to make it a beautiful, welcoming and friendly place to shop.”
The seasonal award was created by Melksham Town Team to recognise businesses that make a special effort in their displays and general appearance, which contribute to making Melksham a lovely town to visit. Hundreds of people nominate businesses throughout the year, and the winner is presented with the cup and certificate each season.
