Melksham & District Historical Association will explore the 800-year history of the Market Place at its next meeting
The talk by Peter Maslen will start in the year 1219, the year Melksham was granted royal permission to hold a market, through to the current day.
Following the Market Place presentation, there will be a talk by Peter Brown about his memories of growing up in Melksham.
The event will be held on Thursday 19th September at the Assembly Hall from 7.30pm. Visitors are welcome – entry is £3.
