A family fun day was held to support the completion of a charity 900-mile cycle ride at The Milk Churn in Melksham, on Saturday.
A 16- strong team from The Milk Churn took on the challenge of a 900-mile stationary bike cycle, riding the equivalent of John O’Groats to Land’s End without leaving the bar, for charity partner Together for Short Lives. The team started the mammoth relay-style ride last Thursday (4th August) and completed the ride on Saturday 6th August.
The event had something for the whole family, with face painters, competitions, superheroes and princesses, plus many more activities for people of all ages.
Every two years, brewer Hall & Woodhouse partner with a new charity, joining with Together for Short Lives in February 2016. Hall & Woodhouse has since raised almost £20,000 and are looking to raise another £1,000 from this event. All funds raised will go towards supporting the charity as they help children with life limiting conditions and end-of-life care.
