THE cricket season is almost here and Whitley Cricket Club is looking for players old and new, and of any age and ability, to join them.
Club chairman, Ian McCaughan, says, “We are a very welcoming village club who play mostly midweek (friendly T20 games) against local village sides. We invite anyone interested to join us for free net sessions on Wednesday evenings, 6pm to 8pm, at the club’s grounds just behind Whitley Golf Course.
“Also, we are always looking for sponsors to support the club in going forward.”
