RESIDENTS flocked to the Assembly Hall to take part in the town’s first Clothes Swap and Shop event, with organisers hailing it as a ‘huge success’.
The event, on Sunday 17th March, saw residents take part in the sustainable and fun solution to decluttering their closets.
“It was fabulous,” says one of the organisers, Adrienne Westbrook. “We had loads of clothes, with lots of people dropping clothes off in the days leading up to the event. The clothes were all on hangers, which made things easier for people to look through. It went extremely well and many people were asking if we were going to run it again!”
The event was organised by the team behind the Community Larder at the Round House, which also runs the Community Wardrobe in the building, giving clothes to residents in need.
