Police are appealing for information after a 14 year old girl was assaulted and two others verbally abused as they crossed a road in the town.
Three girls were crossing the High Street near the Market Place between 4.40pm-4.45pm on Sunday 16th March when a female driver of a car that had to stop for the girls got out and began shouting at them before pulling one of the girls to the floor. The woman is described as white, 20-28 years old, 5’-4” to 5’-6” tall and of slim build with long ginger hair and blue eyes. She was driving a small, old styled car.
Anyone with any information about the incident or who recognises the description of the woman is asked to contact PC 1753 Karen Haddrell on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
