FIRST time Bath Half Marathon runner, Sally Chilcott, aims to cross the event off her bucket list before she turns 40 this year, running in memory of her late friend Michelle Phillips.
Sally will be running the Bath Half Marathon this Sunday 4th March in aid of Wiltshire Air Ambulance. Sally was best friends with Michelle Phillips, a resident of Melksham, who died following a road traffic accident in 2004.
Sally said, “Michelle Phillips was one of my best friends most of the way through school, and some of my other school friends would not be here if it wasn’t for Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
“So as our school year celebrates their 40th birthdays I knew running Bath Half in her memory and to celebrate the lives saved by Wiltshire Air Ambulance was a great way to celebrate their birthdays.
“I hope to run the half-marathon in around two hours 30 minutes as I recently completed the Wiltshire 10 in one hour and 53 minutes.
“I am also walking the Cotswold Walk in June, which is an ultra event where I will walk with the Chris Vick Health and Fitness team, also raising money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
“Please donate what you can, to make all my time training, away from my family, worthwhile for everyone and not just me. Thank you so much for your continued support and belief in me.”
