A COMMONWEALTH flag was raised at Melksham Town Hall last week to join towns and countries across the world in celebrating Commonwealth Day.
Pupils from the Manor School and River Mead School joined the mayor, councillor Terri Welch, at a short ceremony at 10am on Monday 14th March. Town crier Peter Dauncey read a Commonwealth Affirmation and the flag was flown above the town hall for 24 hours.
