SHOPPERS at Sainsbury’s in Melksham were treated to a singing flashmob done to help raise awareness of a local charity.
A flashmob is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual and seemingly pointless act for a brief time, then quickly disperse, often for the purposes of entertainment and in this case for charity.
The event took place as part of Sainsbury’s local charity partnership scheme with Carer Support Wiltshire which ran for 12 months with the intention of raising money and awareness for the charity.
The flashmob was made up of a group of about 30 people of all ages from a drama group. It was a great success as many customers decided to join in and sing with the group
