FOREST Community Centre AFC is looking for women who would like to join the Sunday League team.
The football club has been running for over two years now and is gradually getting bigger and bigger. The club is looking for women who are passionate about football to join the team which will play on a Sunday.
Manager Stephen Wakefield said, “We have a fully fledged football club in Forest now, which is excellent and I’d love to see the club continue to grow.
“We’re looking for ladies aged 16+ who have commitment and passion for the game to join us. We train on a Wednesday evening at the community centre and everyone is welcome. If you would like to learn how to play football then we can teach you.
“I think there is real potential at the club. We’ve got a clubhouse, kit and equipment. We’ve also got sponsorship from two local companies, The MOT Centre in Bowerhill and RJ Gould Plumbing and Heating. Sponsorship is a must for a football team as it helps build the foundations of the club. We would welcome any sponsorship from local businesses.
“We have a club motto now as well which is ‘Strength in Unity’ and we truly believe in this. The club is excellent for the community and I see a bright future ahead.”
