GET ready for a day of excitement, music, and community camaraderie as Forest Fest takes centre stage at the Foresters Arms pub on Sandridge Road later this month.
The event promises a day of family-friendly activities, live music, and a variety of stalls. It takes place on Saturday, August 26th, running from 12 noon until closing time.
The event kicks off with DJ Tony Dobbins, who will set the mood from 12:00 to 3:30. Following his set, the stage will be taken over by the talented Manhattan Nights, a local band delivering hits from the ‘50s to the present day.
Keeping the rhythm alive, the energetic 5-piece band, This Way Up, will rock the day with covers spanning six decades, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
And, as the sun sets, Melksham’s very own Marty’s Fake Family will keep things buzzing until closing time.
The event also has something special for the young ones – a Bounce a Roo course to keep kids bouncing with joy.
Raffaele’s Ice Cream Van will be serving up delightful treats all day, while hot dog and popcorn stands will tantalize taste buds.
For those in search of a refreshing drink, an alcoholic slushies bar and an outside bar will be on hand.
“Forest Fest isn’t just about the music; it’s about getting the community together,” said organiser Michelle Bryant-Jefferies from the Foresters. “So mark your calendars and gather your friends and family for a day fun. Let’s come together and celebrate the spirit of Melksham!
“We have reached out to the local community and small businesses from home can come along and sell on the day; we are looking for more, so if anyone is interested, we are not charging for anyone to do this.”
If anyone would like a stall or can offer anything else for the day please email Michelle at Forestersarms87@gmail.com
