PUPILS at Forest and Sandridge School have performed their first nativity in their brand new school.
Key Stage One performed a traditional nativity but with a slight twist. The story of the birth of Jesus was told but also showed the story of three selfish Bethlehem market stall holders seeing the error of their ways.
The Foundation Stage also performed a traditional nativity but with lots of different animal roles.
Deputy headteacher Helen Biles-Wood said, “The children had been rehearsing the songs since the beginning of November, but only started their acting rehearsals a few weeks before the performance.
“They did so well to rehearse their lines at home with the support of their parents and were all super stars on the stage. The children all loved doing the performance, especially as it was performed in our amazing new hall with our new sound system and lighting.
“This was the first Foundation Stage nativity that we have ever done and it was a fantastic success. The children loved it, especially the wiggling mice on stage. The children did brilliantly and made their parents and us very proud.”
