A free men’s health programme is launching in the King George V Park in May.
The course will run for 12 weeks and is designed to boost men’s activity while making friends and learning about health and wellbeing.
The sessions will launch from Melksham Adventure Centre and the Kingfisher Activity Court, starting on Monday 11th May from 6.30pm to 8pm. Activities will include team and racket sports, water sports, gym introductions, plush health coach support and tools to build lasting healthy habits.
Delivered by Wiltshire Council’s Community Sport and Health Improvement Hub teams and partnering with charities such as Man Down UK and Sporting Family Change, the course is coming to Melksham after highly successful course in Chippenham, Corsham and Trowbridge.
Wiltshire Council’s Community Sport Lead Joe Aygul said, “We are looking forward to supporting men in Melksham with their health and wellbeing and providing a variety of activities each week for the guys to try. For me, getting guys talking and empowering them to be more active in their community spaces, lose weight and make friends is the goal.”
Spaces are limited, contact communitysport@wiltshire.gov.uk to register your interest.
