Young Melksham is now providing a free shuttle service on a Thursday youth club night, plus three youth clubs each week at Canberra to all young people in Melksham and the surrounding area.
Getting to activities can be a bit frustrating if you can’t get there because of where you live. Young Melksham is making it possible by offering a FREE shuttle bus service for the Thursday evening youth club. This started on 21st January, and Young Melksham hopes to be able to offer a shuttle bus service on other youth club nights but needs volunteer minibus drivers to be able to offer this service.

The shuttle service is available to all young people in the Melksham community area. In addition to the planned route map, Young Melksham is also offering to collect young people from the parishes. If you live in one of the parishes and would like to use the shuttle service, please contact Jack Oatley jack@youngmelksham.org.uk to book a ‘pick up’.
Young people will need a pre-registered membership with Young Melksham before being able to ‘get on the bus’. Canberra Club membership forms are available from www.youngmelksham.org.uk to download and complete.
If they don’t already have a membership card, they will need to show their completed and signed membership form to the minibus driver. Once they get to the club, they will be issued with a membership card which must always be produced before they can use the shuttle service.
Youth club nights:
Tuesday 6.30pm – 8.45pm – all secondary school age • Wednesday 6.30pm – 8.45pm – 14 years and over (starts week commencing 15th February) • Thursday 6.30pm – 8.45pm – all secondary school age. Subs for each club is just £1.00.

“We are fully committed to providing activities and opportunities for our young people and are delighted to be able to open our doors for two extra nights.”
