THE White Hart at Atworth is hosting its first ever fun dog show and its regular vinyl night this week, for all the community to get involved with.
The dog show, which will be held on Saturday 3rd August, will raise money for the Bowerhill Barkers – a local group trying to raise £55,000 – the lifetime cost of a guide dog for a blind or sight-impaired person.
At the event there will also be live music from Steeple Rocks Choir, a meet and greet with some guide dog puppies, a barbecue from 5-8pm, an outside bar, doggie stalls, and games.
Registration for the dog show starts at 1pm – entry cost £2 per category. The fun and games start at 2pm and runs until 8pm.
On Sunday 4th August the pub will be hosting its ‘Vinyl Night’, inviting everyone to bring in their own vinyl records to share, or to listen to the pub’s own selection.
Organisers say, “Join us for another brilliant night of singing, dancing or just sharing! Let us know your music knowledge and bring your own vinyl to play/share. Everyone welcome. The night runs from 5pm to 8pm.”
