The countdown has begun to Dorothy House’s frothiest fund-raising event, ever.
Bubble Rush 2016 is on Sunday 31st July at Castle Combe Circuit near Chippenham. Entrants will embark on a 5km run, walk, skip or dance along a route filled with huge bubbly clouds of rainbow-coloured foam.
Emily Knight, events fundraiser says, “We are so excited about this brand new event for all the family. It’s the first ever Bubble Rush in the South West and we can’t wait to see everyone getting involved in the foamy fun while raising money for Dorothy House Hospice Care at the same time!”
The Bubble Village will be party-central with jazzy pre-event warm up routine, live entertainment, children’s activities and lots of yummy food! There’s fun for participants and spectators alike.
There are no age restrictions and the route is child friendly. The circuit is suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs and prams. It’s not a race; the aim is for everyone to pass the finish line frothy and smiling! There will be three waves, which take place at 3pm, 4pm and 5pm.
Early bird places are now sold out, but you can get your standard price places now! Entry is free for children aged 3 and under, children (aged 4-16) cost £7.50 and adults (aged 17+) cost £25. All paying participants will receive a T-shirt and medal.
There is no minimum sponsorship amount, but participants are encouraged to raise as much as they can for Dorothy House Hospice Care to help fund vital patient care and to celebrate the charity’s 40th birthday.
Mandy Tadhunter, who’s taking part in the event which is the same day as her 40th birthday, says, “What a fun way to start my birthday celebrations with family and friends, while raising money for a wonderful cause!”
