A COUPLE from Melksham have donated a further £1,243 to Wiltshire Air Ambulance, bringing the total they have already raised to £15,352.
John and Sandra Phillips have been fundraising for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance since April 2004 in memory of their daughter Michelle who was tragically killed in a car accident in Devon, when she was aged 26.
The most recent donation came from one of Michelle’s friends, Andy Petty who ran the London Marathon last month to raise money for the charity and in memory of Michelle.
John and Sandra have expressed their thanks to Andy for donating to the charity in memory of Michelle and to everyone who has donated.
Sandra said, “We would like to say a huge thank you to Andy and also to everyone who has donated, We all (Michelle’s family) greatly appreciate all your help, support and kindness, especially in these past 13 years – we are still and always will be fundraising for this worthwhile charity in Michelle’s name.
“Andy says he is keeping his online fundraising page open for the allowed six months, so that takes it up until October, just in case he receives more donations for anything else too that he may do for her before then.”
