MACAPELLO, Melksham’s community choir finished last term on a high note, raising £646.42 for two local charities, Julia’s House and A Home For Kale, with a concert held at Melksham Baptist Chapel.
The choir’s next outing is a set at the Food and River Festival from 5pm on Saturday 31st August where the choir will be entertaining the crowds with selections of favourite songs from their repertoire – several with a ‘river’ theme!
Macapello meet every Wednesday evening from 11th September at the Baptist Chapel from 7.30-9.30. The choir leader says, “You don’t need to have sung with a group before, you don’t need to read music, you’ll be with people like yourself and you’ll have a lot of fun – and your first session is free!”
