JOIN in with The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and help raise money for people facing cancer.
Macmillan Cancer Support is hosting its ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ with fundraisers around the country serving up coffee (and tea) and cake, all in aid of the charity.
In 2014, Melksham raised hundred of pounds for Macmillan and this year should be no acception with coffee mornings being held across Melksham and surrounding villages on 25th and 26th September. These include:
• Tops Hair Salon & Beauty, Fri 25th, 9am onwards: Cake and coffee morning all for a great cause. Everyone is welcome.
• The Kings Arms, Fri 25th, 9.30am-4pm: A coffee morning with a big raffle. Prizes donated from local businesses.
• Queensway Chapel, Fri 25th, 10am-1pm: Coffee and cake morning.
• Melksham Baptist Church, Old Broughton Road, Fri 25th, 10am-12noon: A coffee morning with a Bring and Buy Cake Stall.
• Seend Community Centre, Fri 25th, 10am-12noon: As well as coffee, tea and cakes there will be a bring and buy stall, raffle and games and, most importantly, an opportunity to chat.
• Forest Community Centre, Fri 25th, 10.30am onwards: Everyone is invited for a good natter over coffee and cake. Plus a raffle with prizes donated from local businesses.
• Kavanaghs Estate Agency, High Street, Fri 25th, 10.30am-2pm: Kavanaghs will be serving an array of delicious homemade cakes, tea and coffee.
Branch manager Colin Chalk said, “The Macmillan nurses have improved the lives of so many and with approximately ten people a day being given the news that they have cancer in Wiltshire alone, we as a company and individuals are proud to help raise money in support of Macmillan.”
They will be price matching all monies raised on the day and would like to invite everyone along to share their support.
• The West End Inn, Fri 25th, 11am-1pm: Coffee morning, all proceeds go towards Macmillan.
• St. Barnabas Church, Sat 26th, 10am-12noon: A coffee morning with a bric-a-brac and cake stall. £3 entry includes coffee and cake.
• The Shurnhold Farm Treatment Rooms, Sat 26th, 10am-3pm: Coffee morning and pamper day. £10 donation for tea/coffee and cake and once treatment of your choice. Extra treatments can be brought for £5.
• The Scout Hut, Sat 26th, 10am-12noon: A coffee and cake morning. Everyone is welcome.
