A MELKSHAM funeral directors is celebrating after winning the Golden Charter Regional Funeral Planner of the Year Award for the second year running.
D.J Bewley, based on Bank Street, won the award for the second year running for their work helping people set up funeral plans.
The plan is set up so families can pay for the cost of a funeral before it is actually needed. This means that when the time comes during the stressful time of a death, the funeral is already paid for. Additionally, it allows the person that has passed away to specify what they want their funeral to be like, again taking away what can be a stressful factor of planning a funeral.
Head of funeral planning at the Melksham business is Ryan Bewley who said, “To win the award once was an honour and to win it two years consecutively, our family funeral business had to show continued growth within this market and we are proud of the award. Especially as we hadn’t won it in the 30 years previous to our success last year.
“Funeral planning is the fastest growing part to the funeral industry and while it is obviously a good idea to plan ahead, the public should also be aware of where and whom they buy these products from. We pride ourselves on the way we deliver and explain the funeral plan as we guide a customer through every step and the award is testament to the work we do.
“The award also shows that the local community is at the forefront of our business and with this in mind, we are planning to open a new state-of-the-art office in Devizes which, along with the office in Melksham, will be able to hold a funeral service in our very own chapel.”
