EIGHT staff members from Giffords Surgery took to the streets of London on 20th May, to take part in this year’s Moonwalk, raising money for breast cancer research.
The team raised £3,000 in the event where participants trek 26 miles across the city.
Dr Abby Burgess from Giffords Surgery said, “There is a very special person at Giffords who is fighting breast cancer, we did it for her and all the colleagues and patients past and present who have been touched by the disease.
“The challenge was huge but we trained hard and with lots of blister plasters completed the full 26.2 miles. The day after saw several hobbling doctors and nurses but we did it and raised £3,000 for breast cancer research so absolutely worth every step!”
