A Girls’ football team in Melksham is flourishing after contributions from local sponsors enabled the team to purchase new kit and equipment.
Melksham Town’s Under-10s Wildcats girls football team meets weekly at Oakfield Stadium, offering a fun and inclusive session for all abilities.
One of the coaches, Wayne, said, “The team is making strides both on and off the pitch as they celebrate a fantastic start to the season. Known for their energy, teamwork, and growing confidence, the girls continue to flourish thanks to the generous support of their sponsors, FW Catering and Bowerhill Primary School’s PTA, Bowerhill Buddies. Following the local contributions, the girls have had a real boost as they develop their skills.
“Melksham Town is keen to welcome new players from as young as five years old and encourages local girls to give football a try in a friendly, supportive environment.
“Parents interested in getting their children involved are invited to come along, meet the coaches, and see what the team is all about. The future of girls’ football in Melksham is bright—and it’s only getting brighter.”
The team trains on Wednesdays from 6pm to 7pm.
