GOLDEN Fleece Cricket Club is encouraging players old and new to pick up their bat and ball and get back into the sport with their ‘Return to Cricket’ sessions.
The club, based in Whitley, is hosting coaching and net sessions at Melksham Oak Community School every Sunday until Sunday 25th March from 7pm to 8pm.
At the sessions you will have the chance to meet with existing Golden Fleece players in a fun and informal atmosphere, receive free coaching by a level 3 coach and practise what you’ve learnt in the nets.
The sessions are £2 for people who are returning to cricket, although any existing club players are welcome (who pay £3 to help cover expenses as ‘Return to Cricket’ sessions are solely funded by the club).
The sessions will be indoors, so you only need to bring trainers as all equipment is provided (although you may want to bring your own box).
The Golden Fleece Cricket Club is a social cricket club based in Whitley, who play mainly on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
The club says, “No leagues, no prima donnas, no pressure – just fun! So if you want to get involved with playing cricket – either as a newcomer to the sport, or as a player who would like to get back into the game – join the club at their ‘Return to Cricket’ sessions.”
