THE new-look Wiltshire School of Gymnastics will host its grand opening next month, after spending nearly half a million on an ambitious refurbishment.
The grand reopening will take place on Friday 27th November with Commonwealth gold medallist gymnast Ruby Harrold, and leader of Wiltshire Council Jane Scott in attendance.
Over the past year the facility in Bowerhill has been transformed by a £400,000 extension funded mostly by Wiltshire Council.
The state-of-the-art gymnastics school has also received a £43,000 new cafe and kitchen funded by recycling firm SITA; a reception and lighting upgrade using £15,000 donated by Community First and Hills Group; and new equipment worth nearly £25,000 funded by British Gymnastics and local fundraising activities.
The centre is Wiltshire’s top gymnastics venue, providing a range of activities for all ages in a purpose-built facility. The new extension will offer additional trampolining and gymnastic opportunities.
