LOCAL business owner, Gillan Clancy, ‘braved the shave’ last week, losing all her hair for charity.
Gillan, who owns Feet First, a foot care business based in the Littlebrook Centre, organised the event to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
“I’m doing this for all the friends and family I have lost to cancer,” Gillan told Melksham News, “and for ones that are struggling now with cancer.
“I lost my own mum to cancer – so this is a cause very dear to my heart.
“Lots of my friends are jumping out of planes or abseiling down buildings for charity – but I’m not that brave! So ‘Brave the Shave’ was perfect for me.”
The amount raised by Gillian has yet to be added up, but donations can still be made by visiting Feet First, Antico Caffe, or Andy York Photography in the Littlebrook Centre.
