AN update on Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s new airbase at Semington will be given at the charity’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 26th July.
Work on the new airbase at Outmarsh Farm began in April and is due to be completed next year. The custom-built airbase will bring together the helicopter and aircrew, which are currently based at Police Headquarters, Devizes, and the charity team staff, who work at rented offices in Calne.
The Annual General Meeting will start with the formal business of the Board of Trustees approving the 2015-16 annual accounts, followed by presentations by charity team staff and aircrew and ending with an opportunity for questions by the public.
David Philpott, chief executive of Wiltshire Air Ambulance said, “At our Annual General Meeting we will be looking back over what we have achieved to date, the exciting move to our new airbase at Outmarsh Farm, Semington, and what the future holds. There will be the opportunity to see all the plans for the new airbase and hear about key milestones that will be taking place during the construction.”
Ceri Hurford-Jones, managing director of Spire FM, will be hosting the AGM free of charge, which takes place at Melksham Town Football Club, Oakfields, Melksham, SH12 7GU on Wednesday 26th July from 7.00pm to 8.00pm.
