There was a really good turn out for the recent Melksham Seniors Activity Afternoon, with a very varied programme.
Brian Warwick said, “Many members were able to tap into the big world of IT with lessons on iPad’s and laptop’s from staff from the Learning Curve, whilst others enjoyed the Sing N Smiles sessions, movement to music and games provided by friends from Age Concern.
“In fact we realised that we were too ambitious in packing far too much into an afternoon. Therefore in future the IT sessions will be held on a different day, leaving the 1st Monday in the month events as fun, games and singing activities, with other projects on different days.
“The film show on Monday afternoon 16th February will be the award winning film ‘Cry Freedom’ directed by Richard Attenborough, starring Denzel Washington. Doors open at 1.30pm for refreshments, film starts 2.00pm.”
