Motorists across Melksham are continuing to deal with the aftermath of a severe hailstorm which caused widespread vehicle damage across the town.
Nortree Motor Company in Bowerhill has been managing a surge in demand after taking on the assessment of around 200 damaged vehicles following the storm in the early hours of 28th May, when hailstones described as being the size of golf balls caused damage to cars, windows and conservatories.
The dealership has been working with specialist hail repair technicians and offering free hail damage assessments for affected vehicle owners, alongside help with insurance claims and repair quotations.
A steady flow of cars with dented bonnets and roofs have been arriving at the forecourt, with around 35 vehicles on site at one point and a further 150 reportedly on a waiting list for assessment and repair.
“We have never seen anything like this before,” said director Edward Phillips. “Luckily none of our cars in the dealership were damaged.”
The company sells used cars and also provides vehicle servicing, MOTs and repairs. For more information, contact 01225 702230.
