THERE will be a free showing of the film, ‘I, Daniel Blake’ at the Assembly Hall on Tuesday 30th May at 7.30pm.
The film, directed by Ken Loach, won the Palme D’Or award at the Festival de Cannes. It shows the reality of austerity in Britain.
Prior to the film, at 6pm, Andy Newman, the Labour candidate will be talking about the Labour election manifesto and answering questions. There will be time for people to discuss Labour’s programme for achieving a fairer, more equal Britain.
