If music be the food of love, sing on.
That is what Melksham Choral Society is doing by learning the love songs made popular by Frank Sinatra and including them in their concert which is to be held at the end of April.
The concert promises to be both interesting and varied, by including jazz as well as popular music, together with the Haydn Small Organ Mass.
Sheila Jackson, on behalf of the society said, “We are looking for more singers to join us, particularly men. We are fortunate that our musical director is a professional singer and he cajoles us into making the lovely warm sound for which we are famous.
“We meet each Thursday during term time at the Rachel Fowler Centre at 7.30pm. Our rehearsals are fun and enjoyable and filled with laughter as well as hard work.
“If you are rusty because you have not sung for a long time, or you have never sung, we do not have auditions, so just come along and introduce yourself, a warm welcome awaits you.”
