MELKSHAM Walking Netball recently played in the Walking Sports Festival in Corsham.
The team’s coach, Sue Mortimer said, “The event was to showcase Walking Netball and also Walking Football, with teams being entered from local towns.
“We’re hoping to encourage older people with different abilities and strengths and show them that we can still enjoy sport and exercise whatever our age. It’s also a good way of meeting new people and making friends whilst keeping fit.”
Walking Netball is held every Thursday morning at Christie Miller Sports Centre, 9.45am – 10.45am.
