THERE is a Jubilee Film special at June’s Monday Movies with a showing of the award-winning The Queen starring Helen Mirren.
The film won critical and popular acclaim with Helen Mirren picking up at Oscar in the title role. She was even praised by the Queen herself and was invited to dinner at Buckingham Palace.
“The first June Monday Movies follows the Bank Holiday and we have decided to show the award-winning film ‘Queen’ starring Helen Mirren,” said Terri Welch, one of the organisers.
“To make the showing special we will be having a raffle, prizes always welcome, and cakes with our tea or coffee. So please come along and enjoy a special afternoon marking this historic Jubilee!”
The film is showing at Melksham Assembly Hall on Monday 6th June; doors open 1.30pm and the film starts at 2.00pm. Everyone is welcome.
