JUNIOR parkrun members dressed as their favourite book characters on Sunday 5th March to celebrate World Book Day.
Organiser Sue Mortimer said, “Many of Melksham junior park runners on Sunday 5th March did the 2k route (four laps of the King George V Park) in fancy dress to celebrate World Book Day which was on the previous Thursday. Children looked amazing. Dave Pigeon was my favourite.
“Melksham Junior Parkrun takes place at KGV playing fields, aka Melksham’s main park, every Sunday. Warm up is at 8:50am and the run starts at 9am. This is a free event for ages four to 14. About 40 children usually take part; all are welcome.”
