This May half-term Go Active will be providing free alternative sports for young people in and around Melksham.
These activities have been funded by the Melksham Area Board to provide opportunities for young people in the area to participate in a selection of sports that they may have not tried before. These activities are open to all 12 to 19 year-olds.
Tom Evans from Go Active said, “In Easter we ran free Zorb football sessions at five different venues in town and the surrounding areas. This May half-term we are back at the same venues delivering a new and exciting sport called BattleZone archery. Battlezone archery is a combination of archery and dodgeball with participants playing in teams to collect points by either eliminating players or hitting targets using specially designed rubber ended arrows.
“There is no need to book, just bring along a completed consent form which can be found on our website. If you would like more information or to email consent, then email the name of your child, their age, any medical conditions and an emergency contact number and state that you give permission for your child to participate to tom@go-active.org. We need parental consent for all participants under 16. Consent forms are also available at the Young Melksham youth clubs.
