Lavington School is delighted to invite you to its 6th form Open Evening on Thursday 6th November at 5pm.
After a long wait, we finally opened our doors to our first A-level cohort in September 2025 where we have been able to offer our students a diverse and rich A-level curriculum.
Lavington has a well-qualified and enthusiastic 6th form teaching team. Therefore, our students benefit from high-quality teaching.
Students also have a designated 6th form space open to them which was completely refurbished for the opening in September. A further extension is scheduled to open in September 2026.
This will enable us to offer our students even more excellent facilities. Lavington is a high performing school and now we have the opportunity for students to continue their learning journey through to the end of year 13.
As a new 6th form we are proud of the range of experiences we can offer our young people, not only through the curriculum, but also our extracurricular model. Students have already had the opportunity to go to a university fair in Bristol and have heard from a guest speaker from Imperial College London.
They also have a trip to Cardiff University to look forward to in January as well as opportunities to take trips further afield to Italy for a 6th form ski trip, San Francisco for computer science, and New York for performing arts.
Students at Lavington 6th form are treated as young adults and are given the opportunity to develop skills which will enable them to be successful in later life. They are also given support and guidance to be able to thrive in the 6th form environment.
We empower our students to take on leadership opportunities like becoming heads of house and they play a part in the wider school community through volunteering work in the school.
We pride ourselves on the opportunities we give young people, and our students feel supported and confident as they start the next phase of their education journey. We welcome you to see what Lavington 6th form can offer on our Open Evening and look forward to seeing you then.
